VetSkill is pleased to have announced the launch of its new Level 3 Veterinary Nursing (Companion Animal) Diploma at The College of Animal Welfare’s Clinical Coach Congress on Monday 18 March 2019.

During the presentation, Kathy Kissick from The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) introduced the innovative 2-year qualification which is intended to support learners by focusing on addressing Day One Competences and Skills whilst encouraging a holistic approach to nursing in the profession. Its aim is to facilitate learning in order to gain practical competence and knowledge relevant to the role of a Registered Veterinary Nurse working with companion animals including cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs. The qualification also includes the SQP (Companion Animal) allowing candidates to obtain both the RVN and SQP-C.

Based in Godmanchester, near Cambridge, the awarding organisation offers a range of qualifications regulated by Ofqual and CCEA to a variety of centres across the UK. The team are delighted to launch this pioneering approach to the study of Veterinary Nursing.

The launch event closed with an insightful Q&A, followed by a short reception with drinks and canapés.
