Inaugural conference paves the way for new SQP CPD

VetSkill would like to thank all delegates and speakers who attended their first SQP Conference at The College of Animal Welfare in Cambridgeshire on Sunday 20 November.

The enthusiasm of delegates was evident from the start with the format of talks and workshops, interspersed with networking opportunities with other delegates and speakers, proving to be well received. The conference, aimed specifically at Suitably Qualified Persons (SQPs), kicked off with an update from the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) followed by product information, sessions on practical skills, health and safety, and SQP regulation.

Included in the conference fee, all delegates received their VetSkill 2017 annual SQP registration free of charge.

Greg Warman, VetSkill Chairman, said “Our aim when designing this event was to make the process of SQP annual registration and CPD fulfilment as simple and effective as possible”. He continued “The feedback we have received from delegates has been extremely positive and we are already making plans for our 2017 conference”.

The inaugural conference marked VetSkill’s authorisation by the VMD to maintain a register for SQPs to prescribe and supply POM-VPS and NFA-VPS veterinary medicinal products. Any current SQP wishing to transfer to the VetSkill Register for 2017 can do so before the end of the year for a single fee of £29 without any late penalty charges.
