BVA announces ecologist, author and natural history presenter – who has contracted a host of exotic diseases, including malaria, bilharzia and leishmaniasis – will be congress keynote speaker.
TV presenter Mike Dilger, dubbed “Britain’s most diseased man” after his extensive travels in the tropics and his work as a wildlife presenter, has been announced as keynote speaker for BVA Congress at London Vet Show. His lecture will include his personal experience of contracting a collection of exotic diseases, including malaria, bilharzia and leishmaniasis; leading to his dubious nickname.
The ecologist, a natural history presenter and writer with degrees in ecology and botany, is a well-known face in the world of wildlife presenting and makes regular appearances on the BBC’s The One Show and Inside Out. The Wooldridge Memorial Lecture is open to all London Vet Show attendees and will take place in the BVA Congress theatre at ExCeL London at 1 pm to 2 pm on 16 November.
