Amongst other qualifications, we are approved by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) to award the Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing. We are also a professional body authorised by the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) as a regulatory body to maintain a register for Suitably Qualified Persons (SQPs) and DEFRA to maintain a register of persons qualified to implant identification microchips into companion animals.

We are seeking an experienced Standards Manager reporting directly to the Director and Chair of the Board of Directors who will form part of the Senior Management Team.  The role will be responsible for ensuring quality compliance with all of our regulators. You will review all internal systems, processes and policies ensuring that the organisation is compliant and meets internal and external audit demands.

The role will incorporate management of VetSkill’s quality assurance strategy to include management of a team of Quality Visitors and Lead Independent End Point Assessors. 

Other key responsibilities will be assuring compliance of recognised VetSkill Centres and approval of new Centres plus identification and management of operational risks.

Equine Quality Visitor

Our team of Quality Visitors carry out the key role of quality monitoring our recognised centres against VetSkill’s and regulatory requirements as well as carrying out approval visits to potential new clients.

Due to significant growth in the number of qualifications and centres VetSkill are seeking to appoint an Equine Quality Visitor to join the QV team.

We would welcome applications from those who have both practitioner experience and qualifications in the Veterinary Nursing Equine profession, in addition to skills, experience and qualifications in Quality Assurance.

Assessment Officer

We are seeking an experienced Assessments Officer preferably with End Point Assessment knowledge reporting directly to the Qualifications Manager. The role will be responsible for examination centres, examination candidates and examination materials.

You will be required to work closely with the Qualifications Manager and colleagues in all areas of your work. You will be particularly responsible for producing detailed statistics for regulatory bodies. You will be expected to provide cover for colleagues during holiday and sickness periods and to provide assistance with the general functions of VetSkill as deemed necessary by the CEO.
