Level 5 Vet Technician (Livestock) Assessment Writers and Independent End-Point Assessors

Are you looking for a flexible work opportunity and a chance to utilise your technical expertise to support the future of the sector?

We currently have an exciting opportunity for veterinary surgeons with a minimum of two years large animal experiences to join our team of assessment writers and independent end-point assessors in respect of the Level 5 Vet Technician (Livestock) Apprenticeship Standard.

Whist these are two separate roles we anticipate that people may wish to use their expertise to apply for and undertake both positions.

Assessment Writers:  Work with our development experts to develop assessments and support materials to enable apprentices to undertake their end-point assessments.

Independent End-Point Assessors: Join our team of assessors, visiting apprentices in their workplace and assessing them to check they have the necessary skills for the job.

These roles are flexible and can be undertaken alongside other work commitments.  In return for your expertise we offer competitive remuneration, training and guidance, and provide ongoing support for you to carry out your role effectively.

External Quality Assurers

Our team of External Quality Assurers carry out the key role of quality monitoring our recognised centres against VetSkill’s and regulatory requirements as well as carrying out approval visits to potential new customers. External Quality Assurers are often the main point of contact between a centre and VetSkill and will be the main provider of support and guidance. EQA’s play a key role in the establishment of excellent practical working relationships between VetSkill and its centres and due to significant growth VetSkill are seeking to appoint an EQA to cover the Midlands and East Anglia areas. This will be a home-based role with a requirement to complete centre-based visits on a regular basis with an occasional requirement to attend our Huntingdon head office. This is a permanent full-time position, however part-time applications will be considered.

As this role will predominantly be supporting centres delivering Veterinary Nursing and Animal Welfare qualifications we are looking to appoint a Registered Veterinary Nurse, or MRCVS, with extensive industry experience as well as internal quality assurance experience and qualifiation. Although previous EQA experience and qualifications are advantageous more important is an excellent understanding of veterinary nursing education and a willingness to complete an EQA qualification if required.
