Celebrating the first learner to achieve an overall Distinction grade for the VetSkill VTEC Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing

VetSkill is delighted to celebrate some inspirational success! Meg Lacey RVN is the first learner to be awarded an overall distinction grade for the VetSkill VTEC Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (Companion Animal).

Meg works at Vets4Pets and trained with Kent School of Veterinary Nursing.

Sam Mullet Head nurse and clinical coach at Vets4Pets said, “Meg has developed excellent clinical skills and knowledge through her hard work and determination in her studies. Coupled with her experience in customer service as a prior cabin crew member, she is a real credit to not only our family at Vets4Pets Dover Whitfield, but also the wider veterinary profession. We are very proud of what she has accomplished."

Meg started the course in September 2021 and has been supported by an excellent team of lecturers at the training school. Achieving an overall distinction for the VTEC veterinary nursing qualification demonstrates aptitude and skill, and involves sustained effort and commitment from learners.

Natalie Brudenell , Head of Veterinary Studies at Kent School of Veterinary Nursing commented, “From the moment Meg joined KSVN, she was focused, hard-working and determined. She worked well with other members of the group, making some lifelong friends. Meg was always on hand to help and support other students in need. Even when she had things going on in her world, including a broken elbow at one point, she never let it affect her commitment or positivity.”

Kent School of Veterinary Nursing offers the VetSkill VTEC Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (Companion Animal), further details of their delivery programme can be found on their website: https://www.ksvn.co.uk/

Leanne Ashford, Qualifications Manager at VetSkill shared, “Meg should be extremely proud to receive this accolade.  This is also a double celebration for Kent School of Veterinary Nursing, as they were recently awarded ‘Outstanding’ ratings across the board during their Ofsted inspection. Again, we congratulate Meg on this magnificent achievement and wish her all the best as a Registered Veterinary Nurse!”
