Lead Independent End-Point Assessor (IEPA) - Florist

Are you seeking a flexible work opportunity where you can share your industry expertise and shape the next generation of florists?

We are currently recruiting experienced floristry professionals to join our growing team of Independent End-Point Assessors (IEPAs) as a Lead IEPA for the Florist Apprenticeship Standard.

We are particularly interested in individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Extensive experience in the floristry industry, including advanced knowledge of floral design techniques, principles of colour and design, event and contract work, seasonal and occasion-based arrangements, and retail floristry operations.

  • Experience in mentoring, training, or supervising others within the sector.

  • Ability to assess and evaluate apprentice portfolios and practical demonstrations against set assessment criteria.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and with integrity.

  • Membership of a relevant professional floristry body (e.g., British Florist Association or equivalent).

  • Assessment qualification (e.g., CAVA or equivalent) is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.

  • Experience working to quality assurance standards in a teaching, training, or assessment context.

As a Lead IEPA, you will also provide support to our wider team of assessors, help ensure consistency and quality of assessment decisions, and contribute to standardisation and quality assurance activities.

External Quality Assurer

We’re seeking an experienced External Quality Assurer (EQA) to support centres delivering animal-based qualifications, including dog grooming. You’ll conduct approval visits, audits, and provide expert guidance to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Location: Home-based with travel to centres as required

Employment Type: Part Time (hours negotiable)

Salary: £28,000 - £34,000, pro rata for part-time hours (depending on skills and experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out centre audits and approval visits.

  • Evaluate assessment and internal QA processes.

  • Deliver constructive feedback and clear reports.

  • Support and advise centre staff.

  • Stay up to date with regulatory requirements.

  • Contribute to VetSkill’s risk-based QA approach.

We are looking for an experienced professional in animal-based education with a background in quality assurance and assessment. You’ll have excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, and will thrive on fostering productive and supportive relationships with centres.

Independent End-Point Assessor: Landscape Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard

Are you looking for a flexible work opportunity and a chance to utilise your technical expertise?

We currently have an exciting opportunity for landscaping professionals with the following occupational/sector experience to join our team of Independent End Point Assessors (IEPAs) for the Landscape Technician apprenticeship standard:

  • Experienced in preparing drawings, documents, graphics and visualisations for landscape schemes, contributing to planning applications and other regulatory procedures, using CAD and other software and preparing detailed specifications for hard and soft landscape materials.

  • Experience in preparing and presenting maps and plans using CAD and GIS and working with other landscape professionals.

  • Experience in undertaking simple site investigations, analysis and appraisals, preparing maintenance and management information, undertaking research, co-ordinating analogue and digital information.

  • Significant experience of the occupation/sector.

  • Applicant must also be a member with relevant professional bodies.

  • Assessment qualification (desirable).
