VetSkill centre Bath College ranked 3rd in UK for Level 3 Veterinary Nursing apprenticeships

VetSkill is proud to celebrate an excellent achievement by Bath College, which has been ranked 3rd in the UK for Level 3 Veterinary Nursing apprenticeships, based on a 91.3% achievement rate in the 2023–24 academic year.

Bath College is a well‑established provider of land‑based and animal care education, with a strong reputation for supporting learners into skilled, professional careers within the veterinary sector. As an approved VetSkill centre, Bath College delivers the Level 3 Veterinary Nursing Diploma and has an established agreement with VetSkill for the delivery of End-Point Assessment (EPA) for the Level 3 Veterinary Nurse apprenticeship.

This outstanding result reflects the dedication, consistency and quality of delivery demonstrated by the Bath College team, alongside the hard work and commitment of their veterinary nursing apprentices. Achieving such a high success rate within a demanding professional programme is a significant accomplishment and highlights Bath College’s focus on learner support, high standards and positive outcomes.

The Level 3 Veterinary Nursing apprenticeship requires learners to balance academic study with the realities of clinical practice, developing technical competence, professional judgement and confidence while working within busy veterinary environments. Bath College’s ranking is a clear indicator of the strength of its training, teaching and support structures, enabling apprentices to succeed throughout their programme and complete to the highest standard.

This recognition also highlights the strong partnership working between Bath College and VetSkill, ensuring apprentices are supported through robust assessment processes and clear progression pathways. From initial training to EPA, the collaboration supports apprentices to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) effectively and with confidence.

Sophie Beazer, Lecturer and Veterinary Nursing Coordinator at Bath College, shared:

“In 2025, Bath College Veterinary Nursing students collaborated with VetSkill to achieve a 100% pass rate for their first-year exams. This ranks us third in the country for Veterinary Nursing apprenticeship providers!"

The Quality Assurance Team at VetSkill added:
