Bicton College proud to start delivering VetSkill Level 2 Certificate in Veterinary Care Support
Exciting news! Bicton College of The Cornwall College Group is now approved to deliver the VetSkill Level 2 Certificate in Veterinary Care Support, joining 16 other approved centres offering this qualification.
A leading land-based college in Devon, Bicton College forms part of The Cornwall College Group specialising in practical, hands-on courses. The college has been an approved VetSkill centre since 2020, delivering both the legacy VetSkill Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (Companion Animal) and now the updated VTEC qualification. Bicton also became the first centre to deliver the VetSkill VTEC Level 3 Award in Canine First Aid in February 2025.
The VetSkill Level 2 Certificate in Veterinary Care Support is designed for those working in veterinary practice, in a veterinary care supporting role, and is intended to provide the relevant practical skills and underpinning knowledge for learners to effectively support the Veterinary Nurse and Veterinary Surgeon.
Furthermore, it may be used as a stepping stone onto the VetSkill VTEC Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (Companion Animal) qualification, subject to additional entry conditions being met.
This qualification is also recognised by the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF), offered as the VetSkill Certificate in Veterinary Care Support at SCQF Level 5.
Veterinary Nursing Training Officer at Bicton College, Janine Cobb, shares:
“We at Bicton College are proud to announce that we have officially received approval to deliver the VetSkill Level 2 Certificate in Veterinary Care Support.
